Plant Update

Here are my seedlings:

Pretty soon, it will be time to separate them into their own pots. They may be ready as early as next week.

I also wanted to show you my holiday plants. I started forcing my amaryllis a couple weeks ago and here is what it looks like now:

Although now, it is starting to slump. I fear that I might lose her so, I put her under the big light downstairs.
And, here is my Christmas cactus (sorry about the quality of the picture...my camera is really going):

Last year it didn't bloom so hopefully it will this year since I pruned it.

As a final note, I am going to buy poinsettias again this year. I tried to keep them 2 years in a row and I just end up killing them every time:-( It is my biggest nemesis but I will figure it out!!

I kill poinsettias also! I don't know what it is about that plant. I tried the dark closet thing and all.

My aunt kept a poinsettia alive for a few years, but it never did look as good as it did the first year. I asked her what she did and she said, "I water it every now and then...." Gotta love 80 yr old aunts. ;-)

I do not have a green thumb, so don't feel bad. Everything plant-ish dies in my house :D

I can't believe how much they've grown already! I inherited a Christmas cactus from my MIL once but I killed it before it ever bloomed.

Yep, we kill those poor poinsettias every year too... Good luck with your flowers, and thanks for visiting me via BATW today.

OH I love your plants. I want a Christmas cactus. They are beautiful when they bloom. I hope yours blooms this year.
There is a lady here in Florida that planted her poinsettias in the ground and they took off. I'm like you I kill them every year.Let me know what you figure out lol.
Hugs.

Aw, look at your little blossoms!! You're really good w/ plants--I do NOT have a green thumb! My house even has a greenhouse that I've completely given up on and it's now overrun w/ weeds.

However, I have strange knack for keeping poinsettias alive waaaay past Christmas. I had a beautiful one that still looked brand new this past summer--but had to get rid of it--cruel, I know...I like them only at holiday time.

My mom loves poinsettias...and they do really well for her....I couldn't tell you why though.

I can't have them at my house because of the cats....

Your little seedlings are doing so well!

Oh I WISH I had a green thumb like you. My herb garden did well this year, but that has been my only success! Ha!
